The SER8 and UM890 Pro are both small Ryzen desktops sold in 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD configurations. Their practical split is in ports and expansion. Both use Radeon 780M integrated graphics, so the UM890 Pro’s Ryzen 9 name alone does not make it a fundamentally different gaming machine.

Where the SER8 makes more sense
For one or two monitors, everyday work and games on the built-in GPU, the SER8 covers the essentials. Its Radeon 780M and 32GB DDR5 configuration make it a more capable general desktop than a basic N-series machine. It has two SSD positions and a USB4 port, so choosing the less elaborate port layout does not mean giving up all expansion. Compare the live Amazon AU price; a meaningful saving would be a stronger reason to choose the SER8 than a small processor-name difference.
Beelink SER8 (Ryzen 7 8745HS, 32GB/1TB)

Processor: Ryzen 7 8745HS
Graphics: Radeon 780M
Listed configuration: 32GB DDR5 / 1TB SSD
Where the UM890 Pro earns its place
The UM890 Pro adds a second USB4 socket, second 2.5Gb Ethernet port and OCuLink. Those are concrete advantages for a multi-display desk, a fast network setup or an external GPU dock. The 8945HS also includes an NPU that the 8745HS lacks, but an NPU matters only if your software supports and uses it. Do not pay extra for that label alone. The Amazon AU listing linked below is a 32GB/1TB PC; MINISFORUM also sells barebone versions, so verify the selected configuration before checkout.

The purchase call
Choose the SER8 when its current price is lower and you do not need dual USB4, dual Ethernet or OCuLink. Choose the UM890 Pro when you already have a use for those connections. Neither box contains a dedicated graphics card, and an external GPU setup changes the cost and footprint considerably.
